Did you know that when you send a message to a large group of people, you should use the "BCC" button at the bottom of your email address book instead of the "To" button? The "BCC" means blind carbon copy. The addresses of the people to whom you are sending the email will not appear on the email. Instead, the words "Recipient List Suppressed" will appear. This is just one way to make reading email more enjoyable. Did you know that Help Desk requests are logged every time you call Help Desk, ext. 399? They are prioritized by the Help Desk Manager and PC Specialist or are addressed on a first-come, first-served basis. Then, the Help Desk Assistants complete the requests as designated. (Help Desk phones are answered from 7:15 am to 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday.) Did you know that when you are going to be gone from your office for more than a day, you may want to change your phone mail answering options. To do this, access your phone mail, press "8" for changing your answering options, press "1" for change greetings, press "1" for regular greeting or "2" for alternate greeting, then press "3" for which greeting will answer your calls. If you change your alternate greeting, it is easier to change back when you return. |
