As promised in the last edition of the Administration and Finance newsletter, the Administration and Finance Division is changing the newsletter to include more articles of interest to everyone. If you would like to comment on an article, click on the "Comments" link found at the bottom of each page and e-mail your comments to us. Please be sure to include the title of the article. Let us know what you like or what you do not feel is beneficial to you. From time-to-time we wonder if we should continue with this newsletter. Is it informative and helpful? Your opinion is appreciated.

According to the Census Bureau data, college graduates earn over their lives an average of $1.3 million more than those with only a high school diploma. For those with master’s degrees, the premium grows to $1.7 million. (The San Diego Union-Tribune, Peter Svensson, Jan. 4, 2005.)
Often Forgotten Employee Wellness Benefit
One of the benefits from our relationship with Victoria College is that the VC Sports Center is available to UHV faculty, staff and spouses at no charge during regular posted hours of operation.
To use the Sports Center employees must provide an ID card with the current semester validation sticker to the attendant on duty and sign in and out when using the facilities. Users are required to wear appropriate athletic workout attire while participating in any activity area including the Fitness Room, Gymnasium, and Aerobic Room. See the Kinesiology Department at the Victoria College website for more information or just walk on over and visit. |
