Updates that may be of interest to you:

1) The expansion and remodeling of the University West Building is behind schedule do mainly to the July rains. The projected completion date is mid-January. You can view the building progress from your computer by going to http://www.uhv.edu/cam/index.htm to see a live web cam picture.

2) UHV's Facilities Department will also be in charge of the grounds and maintenance at UHS Sugar Land and UHS CInco Ranch beginning in the Fall 2003 semester. We should see an improvement in the overall appearance of the two sites once equipment and personnel are in place.

3) Upgrading of PeopleSoft HR and Finance to version 8.4 is still in target for completion around March 2004. The new version will entail additional training to familiarize the end users with changes in the upgraded software.

New Fees on Tap for Fall 2003

The Distance Education Fee has been replaced by the Extended Access & Support Fee. This fee is $20 per semester credit hour with no maximum. This is a cumpulsory fee charged all students and provides the support needed to ensure quality delivery of off-campus and electronically delivered instruction and services.

MBA Course Fee is a $35 per semester credit hour course fee for MBA course sections only. The fee is to offset needs of the MBA program, including skills assessment, orientation, electronic research data bases, and software acquisition

University of Houston-Victoria has joined Air Victoria Team, a collaborative association of small business and local government leaders in Victoria County who voluntarily comply with best practices to keep Victoria's air clean.
