Hello and welcome to the internet home page of the School of Education& Human Development at the University of Houston- Victoria. From our beginnings in 1973 this School has a long and rich tradition in the preparation of education professionals and human service personnel.
The School of Education& Human Development offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees for elementary and secondary teaching careers. In addition we offer graduate studies in Curriculum and Instruction, Mathematics, Science, Special Education, Educational Leadership, Counselor Education and Adult and Higher Education. Professional certificates are offered for careers as a School Principal and School Superintendent. Our graduate level program in Counseling can lead to certification as a Licensed Professional Counselor.
We hope that you will explore all the facets of the many programs offered in our school. As you review information about our programs, we believe that you will find evidence of a commitment to a caring environment for our students and an emphasis on quality education that fully prepares our graduates for their chosen professions. Students can expect engaging and challenging instruction from experienced faculty scholars.
