About the VOICE Program

The VOICE program is an alternate route to teacher certification for all grades designed to meet the requirements of "No Child Left Behind" and is completely online.

You decide...

...when to enter the classroom
  • Work as a teacher while you complete your courses, or
  • Complete a practicum in your last semester
...what you want to teach
  • Online teacher certification
    • Early Childhood through Grade Four Generalists
    • Grade Four through Grade Eight Generalists
    • Grade Eight through Grade Twelve
      • Math
      • Science
      • History
      • Business
      • Computer Science
      • English, Language Arts, and Reading
...your pace
  • Finish teacher certification in one year, or
  • Spread your course work over a period up to three years if you choose the practicum
Pay as you go:
  • Cost is limited to expenses for the six graduate-level courses and the application fee
  • Payment is due as costs are incurred for tuition each semester
  • You aren't financially or academically obligated beyond the semester you register for VOICE
  • Students are eligible for Troops to Teachers and Spouses to Teachers programs
