The University of Houston - Victoria Counseling Program continuously strives to provide the highest caliber of education in the field of counseling for our local and surrounding population. The University of Houston - Victoria Counseling Program gives students the knowledge base and experience in the field of community counseling. This knowledge base and experience encompasses the necessary counseling skills to work in the community agency setting and in a variety of other mental health settings.
The Counseling Master's degree in community counseling is designed to provide knowledge and skills in the area of counseling and a program of courses that satisfies course requirements for the Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
The Community Counseling program consists of 12 hours from the core courses, 33 semester hours from the major and 3 hours of electives.
