Mission

The mission of the University of Houston-Victoria's Educational Administration program is to develop leaders who advance ethics, excellence, and the highest educational standards in our society's schools.

Degrees and Certificates Offered

Educational Leadership, Principalship

The Administration and Supervision Department offers a Master of Education in Administration & Supervision with a concentration in Educational Leadership, which includes preparation for the Principal certificate. Candidates for Principal certificates must have valid Texas teaching certificates and a minimum of two years of teaching experience in accredited schools.

General Leadership

For those with no experience in the field of Education, AED offers a Master of Education in Administration & Supervision with a concentration in General Administration. No certification is included with the General Administration concentration. Both master's level programs are delivered on the UHV campus in Victoria and at the UH System in Sugar Land.

Superintendency

The Educational Administration Department also offers preparation for the Superintendency, both online and face to face at the Victoria campus. Courses are offered in a rotation allowing students to complete their work in one year.
