Registering for Student Teaching Courses

You must register for 9 semester credit hours of student teaching:

  • A 3 hour course that covers one portion of the student teaching supervision experience in the field: ESE 4303, MSE 4303, or SED 4303 for either the Victoria or Cinco Ranch area.
  • A 3 hour course that covers the other portion of student teaching supervision experience in the field: ESE 4304, MSE 4304, and SED 4304 for either the Victoria or Cinco Ranch sections.
  • The 3 hour Student Teaching Seminar course that meets periodically throughout the semester at selected sites as established by the Director of Field Based Experiences: ESE 4307, MSE 4307, or SED 4308 for either the Victoria or Cinco Ranch sections.

ESE 4303* Early School Education Student Teaching
ESE 4304** Early School Education Student Teaching
ESE 4307 Early School Education Professional Seminar

* If doing an ESL degree plan – C&I 4303 (Student teaching in ESL) replaces ESE 4303.

** If doing a Special Education degree plan – SPE 4304 (Student teaching: Exceptional Children) replaces ESE 4304.

4-8:
MSE 4303* Middle School Education Student Teaching
MSE 4304** Middle School Education Student Teaching
MSE 4307 Middle School Education Professional Seminar

* If doing an ESL degree plan – C&I 4303 (Student teaching in ESL) replaces MSE 4303.

** If doing a Special Education degree plan – SPE 4304 (Student teaching: Exceptional   Children) replaces MSE 4304.
