Counseling - Student Affairs and College Counseling
The 36-semester hour M.Ed. in Counseling with a Student Affairs concentration is designed to prepare qualified professionals that operate in higher education settings from a foundation in counseling theory and skills, human development principles, and targeted exposure to issues and practices salient to work in student affairs settings such as academic advising offices, career development centers, and college-based counseling centers.
The Student Affairs concentration requires 6 hours from the School of Education & Human Development core, 15 hours from the counseling major, and 15 hours of specialized coursework in Student Affairs (36 hours total).
