The Administration and Supervision Master of Education degree is designed to provide knowledge and skills for education leadership positions and to provide a program of courses that satisfies requirements for certification as a principal. UHV's program also gives you the administrative and supervisory skills necessary to move to the next level with our Superintendent Certification Program. Students may pursue certification, a master's degree in educational administration, or a degree and certification simultaneously.

Degrees and Certifications
Educational Leadership and Principal Certification
The Administration and Supervision Department offers a Master of Education in Administration & Supervision with a concentration in Educational Leadership, which includes preparation for the Principal certificate. Candidates for Principal certificates must have valid Texas teaching certificates and a minimum of two years of teaching experience in accredited schools.
For those with no experience in the field of Education, ELAS offers a Master of Education in Administration & Supervision with a concentration in General Administration. No certification is included with the General Administration concentration. Both master's level programs are delivered on the UHV campus in Victoria and at the UH System in Sugar Land.
The Educational Administration Department also offers preparation for Superintendency, both online and face-to-face at the Victoria campus. Courses are offered in a rotation allowing students to complete their work in one year.
