Multimedia Competition
Theme: "We the People": Personal Stories that Shape a Nation
Criteria:
Your multimedia submission must be your original work and must meet the following criteria:
- be 3-5 minutes in length
- exhibit college-level media skills and be suitable for publication on the UHV website (Please realize
that in converting the multimedia project for the web, some slight degradation in quality can occur)
- follow copyright guidelines and contain appropriate acknowledgements and permissions at the time of submission
- be PC compatible
Submission Requirements
Your submission must meet the following submission requirements:
- received by the Student and Academic Services Office in Victoria by midnight, September 10
- submitted in web-ready format such as AVI, Flash, MOV, or WMV
- submitted on a CD, either by mail or in person, to Anna Salazar, University of Houston-Victoria,
3007 N. Ben Wilson, Victoria, TX 77901
- accompanied by completed entry form

Essay Competition
Theme: United States Constitution: Still Relevant after 220 Years?
Criteria:
Your essay must be your original work and must meet the following criteria:
- be 1300-1500 words (approximately 5-6 pages, double spaced)
- exhibit college-level writing skills and be suitable for publication on the UHV website
- cite appropriately any external sources, if used, using appropriate APA or MLA style. Use of external sources is not required.
Submission Requirements
Your submission must meet the following submission requirements:
- received by the Student and Academic Services office in Victoria by midnight September 10
- formatted in Times New Roman, 12pt font, and double spaced, with 1" margins all around
- submitted via mail to Anna Salazar, University of Houston-Victoria,

- accompanied by completed entry form
