Interested students should contact the School of
Business.
2.
Students with prior business education who have received a
grade of C or better in equivalent undergraduate courses or
a B or better in the equivalent graduate course at a
regionally accredited institution within the past five years
may petition for waiver of an M.B.A. Level I course, without
examination.
3.
Students with course work which has not been judged
acceptable for a direct waiver may petition for a waiver
examination.
4. Courses
in the M.B.A., Level I, may be waived up to a maximum of 18
semester hours. However, all students must complete a
minimum of 36 semester hours of graduate-level course work
leading to the M.B.A. degree.
5.
Students may, with the approval of their UH-Victoria
academic advisor, transfer in not more than 9 equivalent
graduate semester hours of Level II and III course work
attained at an accredited institution after acceptance into
the program and within the time frame specified below.
6.
Students who, in compliance with 5.
above, continue their graduate course work at another
accredited institution (not to exceed nine semester hours)
must be in good standing at UH-Victoria and maintain
proficiency standards in effect upon entry into the program
in order to be awarded the M.B.A. degree from UH-Victoria.
7.
A minimum of 27 semester hours must be completed at
UH-Victoria with a grade average of at least a B.
8.
All requirements for the M.B.A. degree must be completed

In addition to these requirements, the candidate must meet
all additional applicable requirements as specified in this
catalog for the masters degree.

The Fourth-Year Bridge Program |
|
The Fourth-Year Bridge Program is an academic
program designed to meet the needs of international students
whose baccalaureate degrees were completed in three years (the
equivalent of fewer than 120 semester credit hours) rather
than four years. Students in the Fourth-Year Bridge Program
are required to meet all University Admission requirements as
well as the School of Business Administration MBA general
requirements. Bridge students will not be allowed to enroll in
MBA core and elective courses until they have satisfactorily
completed the Fourth-Year Bridge. The only exception to this
rule will be that a student with a satisfactory GPA (as
described in general requirements) may file a mixed petition
to complete the final hours for the Bridge and begin the
regular MBA courses simultaneously. |
