Psychology (B.A. or B.S.)



1. Satisfy Core Curriculum Requirements for students entering college in Fall 1999 or after. See “General 
    Requirements for a Bachelor’s Degree.”
2. Satisfy the core requirements for the Bachelor of Arts or the Bachelor of Science degree.
    Bachelor of Arts option – 6 semester hours of sophomore foreign language
    Bachelor of Science option - natural sciences with lab (for a total of 11 sem. Hrs. of natural sciences)
    General requirements – 13-17 semester hours including ENGL 3430 Professional Writing, HUMA 4322 
    Ethics, and six semester hours of any upper division HUMA, HIST or ENGL courses.
3. Specialization - 27 advanced semester hours, including PSYC 3315 Statistics for the Social Sciences; PSYC 
    3316 Child and Adolescent Development or PSYC 3317 Adult Development and Gerontology; PSYC 3314 
    Physiological Psychology; PSYC 4310 Tests and Measurements; PSYC 4311 Abnormal Psychology; PSYC 
    4312 Social Psychology; PSYC 4314 History and Systems; PSYC 4320 Principles of Learning; PSYC 
    4318 Research Methods for the Social Sciences.
4. Free electives—Additional hours to satisfy the minimum of 120 credit hours on the degree plan and any other 
    minimums, such as 54 upper division credit hours.
