Help with Job Interviews

UHV Career Services can help students and alumni with the interview process through one-on-one services such as mock interviews and through instructional workshops that deal with interviewing.

Mock Interviews

Mock interviews allow students and alumni to experience a realistic interview without the stress that often accompanies a real one. Students and alumni can get feedback on ways to improve body language, eye contact, and other presentation skills.

Mock interviews can be especially effective if interviews are not resulting in job offers. Contact the Coordinator of Career Services Eunice Mesa by email to arrange a private and confidential mock interview.

Online Workshops

Online workshops are available on the following topics:

  • Part Two: The Interview, by Eunice Mesa, contains information about preparing for the interview, dressing for success and being prepared for different interview formats. Finally, it discusses what to do the day of the interview and during the interview. Part Two: The Interview is a continuation of The Job Search presentation.
  • Dress for Success: Suzanne Clodfelter created this Power Point presentation that discusses how to win first impressions in the corporate world. Available in PPT (380 KB) and HTM formats. (This presentation does not include audio.)
