The University of Houston-Victoria was recognized Thursday evening with three prestigious ADDY awards for advertising creative excellence in projects related to the university’s annual report and the School of Nursing.

“The Marketing Department has continued to work hard during the past year to produce creative messages that highlight UHV and all it has to offer,” Marketing Director John Ellis said. “I am pleased that the marketing team could be recognized for its talent.”

UHV won three bronze ADDY awards at the American Advertising Federation-Victoria ADDY Awards Gala in the UHV Multi-Purpose Room.

The following UHV projects were recognized:

  • Annual Report invitation
  • School of Nursing Pinning Ceremony fall 2009 program

Members of the Marketing Department who worked together on the projects include Ellis, creative services manager Steven Nickel, communications manager Paula Cobler, graphic designer Melody Vecera, communications specialist Thomas Doyle and Internet technician Harry Bashaw.
