Anyone looking for a job can meet with more than 40 perspective employers from Victoria and beyond at the 2009 Career & Job Fair organized by the University of Houston-Victoria and The Victoria College.
The event will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 25 in the VC Student Center, 2200 E. Red River. It is free and open to the public.
“This is a great opportunity for employers and potential employees to make a positive connection,” said Eunice Mesa, UHV Career Services coordinator. “Anyone who wants to come is welcome.”
The event also offers an opportunity for students to explore potential careers, she said.
“If someone is looking to start career or a change to a new one, this is a great chance to talk to professionals working in different fields and learn about their daily duties, responsibilities, education, job outlook and more,” Mesa said.
State and federal law enforcement agencies, broadcasters, petrochemical plants, banks, power companies and other employers will be represented.
Attendees should come dressed professionally and bring plenty of resume copies.
For more information, or a complete list of participating businesses, contact Mesa at 361-570-4369 or mesae@uhv.edu.
