“A lot of hard work went into producing the annual report, and it paid off,” Kazmir said. “UHV was one of only three organizations awarded a gold ADDY at the district level. With all the great things happening at UHV, we’re excited about the many opportunities we’ll have in the future to communicate our successes through more creative marketing and communications pieces.”

The award was announced Feb. 21 at the American Advertising Federation District ADDY Awards Gala at the Leo J. Welder Center for the Performing Arts in Victoria. The UHV annual report now will move on to the Region 10 competition, which will include district winners from Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Texas. Winners of the regional competition go to the national competition.

The UHV annual report was selected for a gold ADDY award by five judges from San Antonio who looked at each entry’s creativity, originality and creative strategy.

“Winning a gold ADDY is a highly coveted accomplishment in the world of marketing and advertising,” UHV President Tim Hudson said. “This award showcases the level of creative excellence and teamwork found at our university.”

With more than 60,000 entries annually, the ADDYs are the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition for creative excellence.
