University of Houston-Victoria head softball coach Keri Lambeth has announced the signing of two more softball players.
Pitcher Lauren Garza and utility player Kasey Voyles will transfer from San Jacinto College to join the UHV Jaguars.
Both student-athletes bring plenty of big game experience to the Jaguars’ den. Garza, a Houston native, pitched in 33 games
during her 2 years at San Jacinto, and Voyles played a total of 80 games.
“Lauren has a great mound presence and has the experience to help lead this pitching staff,” said Lambeth. “She will be a great Jaguar!”
Utility player Kasey Voyles brings speed and an ability to get on base to the Jaguars.
“Kasey will be a key cog in the Jaguars offensive machine,” said Lambeth. “Her speed and hitting will excite our fans and frustrate opposing teams.”
Voyles, a Santa Fe High School graduate, batted .357 in her sophomore season, following up on her outstanding freshman season in which she batted .571. Voyles also led the Lady Coyotes in stolen bases her freshman season with 12 and was tied for second on the team this past year with 6.
