The University of Houston-Victoria Small Business Development Center along with the Victoria Chamber of Commerce and Victoria Television Group will host the Microsoft Across America Truck on Friday, April 13, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the UHV campus.
The 42-foot state of the art truck—which showcases complete business solutions for various small and mid-sized companies—has been transformed into a hands-on interactive environment complete with the latest technology and integrated software and hardware solutions. The event is free and open to the public.
“Microsoft will be here to answer questions and demonstrate how technologies from their company, Hewlett-Packard, Intel, and others can work together to create a solution that fits specific needs,” said Keith Mudd, director of the Small Business Development Center at UHV. “We encourage business owners, managers, and the public to come out and explore this truck.”
Attendees will be able to experience live demonstrations and hands-on products at the event. Technology vendors will also be available to feature their company’s current technology to meet business needs.
UHV President Dr. Tim Hudson added, “Technology is a tool that has literally transformed the way we do business today. Business owners are now equipped with resources that can manage their businesses more efficiently or allow them to tap into markets outside of their own geographical location.”
