Tickets for UHV Rosebud Classic go on Sale April 2

Get your tickets for the 2007 University of Houston-Victoria Rosebud Classic baseball game featuring the University of Houston Cougars and the University of Texas San Antonio Roadrunners on April 24 at Riverside Stadium (formerly Rosebud Stadium). Tickets will go on sale Monday April 2 at 9 am at the UHV Athletic Office inside the University Center Building located at 3007 North Ben Wilson.

Tickets for the game are $20 per person for reserved seats, $10 per person for general admission tickets, and $5 per person in the “fan-stand” standing room section. Cash and check with valid ID only will be accepted. No credit cards.

Pre-game activities will include a clinic for Victoria Little League players with presentations made by 1990 National League Cy Young award winner and Victoria native Doug Drabek and UHV head baseball coach, and former Houston Astros outfielder Terry Puhl.

This game will be the rubber match of the three game season series. At the Dr. Pepper Classic in Frisco on February 22, the Cougars smashed 3 home runs to beat UTSA 12-10. The Roadrunners returned the favor less than a week later, scoring 3 in the 7th to come from behind and beat the Cougars 4-3 at Wolfe Stadium in San Antonio on February 27.

Proceeds from this game will benefit the UHV baseball and softball teams as well as the nursing program.

For more information about the Classic, please contact UHV Athletic Director Ashley Walyuchow at (361) 570-4343 or athletics@uhv.edu
