For the second consecutive year, University of Houston-Victoria pitcher Emily Bergstrom has earned NAIA All-America team as an honorable mention selection.
The senior left hander from El Campo finished the season with a 23-7 record, two saves and a 2.22 ERA in 36 appearances. She allowed 63 runs on 161 hits and 22 walks with 97 strikeouts over 158 innings. She ranks No. 14 in the NAIA in wins (23) and No. 32 in walks allowed per 9 innings (1.25).
A two-time Association of Independent Institutions all-conference and Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-Southwest Region performer, she is the all-time UHV career leader in appearances (83), starts (62) and wins (49).
She helped lead the Jaguars to their second appearance in the NAIA National Softball Championships this season where she went 1-2 in the circle.
During her three-year career with the Jaguars she compiled a 49-16 record with four saves in 83 appearances. She has a career 2.04 ERA having allowed 134 runs on 378 hits and 41 walks, while striking out 246 in 370 innings.
