University of Houston-Victoria Student Senate members volunteer for the local Habitat for Humanity project


 

Fifteen University of Houston-Victoria Student Senate members recently volunteered for a day to pitch in with the local Habitat for Humanity project. From left are Jena West, Gilbert Servin, Robert Delgado, Danielle Bergstrom, Victoria Brieske, Andy Llanas, Brett Kelley, Student Senate Adviser Thomas Cox, Delma Limones, LeAnne Marie Koler, Bre’Neka “Shorty” O’Bryant, Paige Ruschhaupt, Emily Bergstrom, Dawn Villegas and Ashleigh Kellis-Carr. “I am pleased we are building a foundation of educated, compassionate leaders in our university and community,” said Cox, who also is a UHV School of Education & Human Development faculty member. “It is good to see our students concerned and willing to do their part in the community, especially in these tough economic times.”
