The BBA Conference is the culmination of the undergraduate business program. Students in the Strategic Management course work in groups all semester long to assess a firm's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Based on their analyses each group develops a set of strategic recommendations.
In past semesters students have analyzed companies such as Apple, Netflix, WalMart, and Best Buy. Panels of judges review each presentation, and the winning teams are announced later that day, following a luncheon and keynote speaker.
Students typically comment that the case competition is one of the most challenging, yet most rewarding, things they have done throughout the BBA program. The confidence they gain from this “real life” exercise is invaluable and is a springboard to future success!
