Texas Penal Code 46.05(a), Prohibited Weapons:
" (a) A person commits an offense if he intentionally or knowingly possesses, manufactures, transports, repairs, or sells;
- an explosive weapon;
- a machine gun;
- a short-barrel firearm;
- a firearm silencer;
- a switchblade knife;
- armor-piercing ammunition;
- a chemical dispensing device; or
- a zip gun..."
Texas Penal Code 46.03(a)(1), Places Weapons are Prohibited:
"(a) A person commits an offense if, with a firearm, illegal knife, club, or prohibited weapon listed in Section 46.05(a), he intentionally knowingly, or recklessly goes:
- on the physical premises of a school or educational institution, any grounds or building on which an activity sponsored by a school or educational institution is being conducted, or a passenger transportation vehicle of a school or educational institution, whether the school or educational institution is public or private, unless pursuant to written regulations or written authorization of the institution…"
Texas Revised Statutes, Article 4413 (29ee), License to carry a Concealed handgun, Section 32, Rights of Employers:
"This article does not prevent or otherwise limit the right of a public or private employer to prohibit persons who are licensed under this article from carrying a concealed handgun on the premises of the business."
Texas Penal Code 46.03(f):
"It is not a defense to prosecution…that the actor possessed a handgun and was licensed to carry a concealed handgun under Article 4413 (29ee), Revised Statutes."
