Graduation Application Process

I am enrolled in the last classes for my degree plan this semester. What do I do now?
To apply for graduation, sign into PeopleSoft, and select the “Degree Process/Graduation” link. From there, you will select “Apply for Graduation.”

The system says my plan is Business Administration. Is this right?
Yes. For Strategic MBA/Global MBA students, the plan will appear as business administration. The minor/concentration will be your academic area (i.e. accounting, economic development, entrepreneurship, finance, general business, international business, management, or marketing). This minor/concentration will already be reflected if you have declared your concentration with the Office of Admissions/Records. Otherwise, the concentration will be filled in by School of Business Administration (SBA) personnel when your application for graduation is reviewed, based on your selection of a concentration on your degree plan, your signed concentration declaration form, or the elective courses you selected during your academic studies.

I’ve submitted my application for graduation. What now?
The Office of Admissions and Records (OAR) will forward your application to SBA. The application will be reviewed by designated SBA personnel for verification of completion (or upcoming completion) of degree requirements. SBA will then contact you via email, confirming your intended graduation semester, program and concentration, and any outstanding degree requirements. If you are enrolled in the courses needed to fulfill outstanding degree requirements (or have already completed any missing courses from another institution), you do not need to do anything further at this time. If you are not on track to fulfill the outstanding requirements, you will need to take the steps necessary to fulfill those requirements.

Once the application has been reviewed by the SBA and signed by the Dean, authorizing approval for OAR to proceed with graduation processing, OAR will verify the accuracy of the degree audit performed by SBA.

My graduation application was denied. Do I need to reapply for graduation in a future semester once I have met the degree requirements?
Yes. The application for graduation is good for the selected semester only. Therefore, if your application is denied for some reason, you will need to reapply for graduation in a future semester once you have fulfilled outstanding degree requirements.
