Marketing Concentration Information

UHV's marketing curriculum provides students with the knowledge and skills needed by marketing managers for developing marketing strategy, including applying the latest research methodologies for marketing decision-making and use of buyer behavior theory as a basis for developing marketing strategy. Graduates of the marketing program are able to

  • Use the principles of contemporary buyer behavior theories to evaluate different strategies for marketing products and services to consumers.
  • Use marketing research to develop strategies for marketing products and services to consumers.
  • Evaluate and develop a strategic marketing plan.
  • Apply marketing research and decision-making skills developed by solving cases, conducting projects, and writing research papers.
  • Develop breadth of knowledge in marketing beyond the core studies by exploring in depth a number of specialties within the field of marketing.
