Message from Dean Charles A. Bullock
It
has become cliché to say that the world is moving faster
and
getting smaller. Evolutions in politics and market conditions combined
with almost daily changes in technology have drawn all of us closer
together, both in collaboration and in competition. To meet the
critical needs for effective collaboration and successful competition,
managers today need not only traditional business skills, but also
an education that prepares them to adapt to an ever-changing environment.
Thus, the University of Houston-Victoria’s
School of Business Administration is open to change and quick to respond to
emergent issues. We are committed to creativity, innovation,
and continuous improvement. We are conscientious about building
and maintaining an atmosphere characterized by respect, collaboration,
and collegiality. Most of all, we embrace an educational culture
that places students at the center of the learning process and
equips them for life-long learning
We offer bachelor’s and master’s programs designed
to prepare managers to meet the challenges which characterize
today’s business world. Applied, real-world programs provided
through state-of-the-art delivery methods on flexible schedules
ensure that UHV’s business students can prepare themselves for
the opportunities of the future without putting the lives they
lead today on hold.
Over the last three years, we have reviewed and
redesigned the curricula of all of our programs to ensure that
we are offering our students an education that addresses the
functional areas of business while providing both a keen understanding of the
environment of business and the interpersonal skills which are
so important for today's managers. The results are
relevant, cross-disciplinary programs that prepare students to
be problem solvers.
On behalf of the faculty and staff of the
School of Business Administration, thank you for visiting our
website.
