Victoria

Victoria, center of the South Texas Crossroads in the heart of the Golden Gulf Coast, is a still-expanding historic city on the banks of the Guadalupe River. More than 150 years old, it is one of the first three towns chartered by the new republic when Texas won its independence from Mexico in 1836. Famous battles of the Texas revolution were fought at nearby sites.

Pioneer charm and high-tech industry mingle in the city of 62,000 inhabitants, near the Gulf of Mexico on a popular coastal route between Houston and Mexico. It is a short distance by car to Houston, San Antonio, Austin, and Corpus Christi. Victoria is the home of many petrochemical industries such as DuPont, Alcoa, Dow, Formosa, INVISTA, BP Chemicals, and Equistar Chemicals. Victoria is surrounded by vast expanses of ranch lands held by descendants of early Texas settlers and offers economic as well as cultural diversity.

The University of Houston-Victoria campus includes University Center, completed in Spring 2000, which contains classrooms, offices, a state-of-the art biology lab, and media and computer labs; and University West, which houses classrooms and faculty and administrative offices.

SoBA offers three programs at the Victoria campus:

• BBA-Management

Each class meets one night a week (Monday through Thursday) beginning at either 6:30 or 7:00 pm.

Online

SoBA offers all courses leading to the degree online through an application called WebCT Vista. Online courses follow the same semester schedule as face-to-face courses, but offer students some flexibility in terms of when they "attend" class each week.

Sugar Land

The University of Houston System at Sugar Land is located at the intersection of U.S. 59 South and University Boulevard, just northeast of the Brazos River. Its state-of-the-art building contains large classrooms, computer and multimedia laboratories, an electronic library, and resource center.

SoBA offers four graduate programs at the Sugar Land campus:

• Fourth-Year Bridge Strategic MBA
• Global MBA
• Fourth-Year Bridge Global MBA

Each class meets one night a week (Monday through Thursday) from 7:00 to 10:00 pm.

SoBA also offers four undergraduate programs at the Sugar Land campuse::

• BBA-General Business
• BBA-Management

Classes are offered both day and evening.

SoBA will seek approval from the University of Houston System and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to offer two additional programs at Sugar Land as early as Spring 2008:

• BBA-International Business
