Admission
Unconditional admission to the MBA program is granted based on:
- a four-year baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution;
- an undergraduate GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale;
and
- a GMAT score of 450 or higher.
U.S. citizens and permanent residents may qualify for temporary admission prior to completing entrance examination requirements.
Conditional admission is also available for students who fall somewhat below the admissions requirements.
Students with prior graduate and professional degrees (such as M.D. or J.D.) may qualify for full admission without completing entrance examination requirements.
Under certain circumstances, MBA applicants may request a waiver for the GMAT when applying for initial admission to the MBA program, or when attempting to progress from temporary graduate admission to conditional or full admission to the MBA program. The Assistant Dean will consider GMAT waiver requests on a case-by-case basis.
Many applicants will qualify for temporary graduate admission. This status is typically granted to an applicant who holds a bachelor's degree, but has not yet completed the GMAT or satisfied GMAT waiver requirements. Temporary graduate students may take up to four courses (12 hours) prior to full or conditional admission.
