Completion of a minimum of 120 semester hours is required for the bachelor's degree, including at least 42 semester hours in the University core curriculum and and at least 54 semester hours of upper-division courses. Fifty percent of upper-level course work in the general business concentration must be taken from UHV. Students can accumulate no more than two Ds in the business major (including business core and concentration requirements). Undergraduate credit earned more than seven years prior to admission to undergraduate study at UHV may not be counted unless approval is granted by the Dean. It is the prerogative of the Dean to determine (1) whether the courses meet current standards of the discipline, and (2) whether students demonstrate sufficient retention of the content to apply it. A minimum grade point average of 2.0 ("C") for all college work, including work done in the major, is required to earn the bachelor's degree.

BBA degree candidates must also complete the Major Field Test in Business to be eligible for graduation.
