Dr. Kaveh Moghaddam is an Assistant Professor of Management. He earned a Ph.D. in Strategic Management and International Business from Old Dominion University in Virginia, and an MBA and a BS in Industrial Engineering from Sharif University. Prior to pursue his Ph.D., Dr. Moghaddam spent five years designing and implementing strategic planning and performance management programs in several companies in the auto and engineering/construction industries.
Before joining UHV, Dr. Moghaddam taught for four years in Sharif University, Texas A&M International University and Old Dominion University. He has received several awards including International Leadership Award at Old Dominion University for establishing and leading several student organizations.
He has published articles in several academic journals including the Academy of Management Best Paper Proceedings and has presented his research in numerous conferences including Academy of Management and Academy of international Business. His primary research interests are immigrant startup businesses and internationalization processes of multinational corporations in emerging markets.
As an entrepreneur, Dr. Moghaddam started a machine tool distribution business and served as the chairman of the board. In addition, he served as a management consultant providing management education for several public and private firms.
Dr. Moghaddam has been involved in several professional organizations and has served as a reviewer and/or session chair for Academy of management, Academy of International Business and Southern Management Association.
