Do I need a undergraduate degree in order to apply for admission to a graduate program?
Applicants for a graduate program must have earned a bachelor's degree or higher in an institution accredited by one of the six recognized regional accrediting associations. The six associations are Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges, Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, and Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Foreign institutions which may not be formally accredited by the United States accrediting agencies must be recognized by the Ministry of Education in the country where the institution is located as maintaining high academic standards.

I have heard that it is possible to be admitted to UHV's MBA program on a temporary basis without taking the GMAT. How does that work?
Many applicants to our graduate programs will be eligible for temporary graduate admission. This means that they have submitted applications and transcripts reflecting their completion of bachelors' degrees, but have not yet completed the GMAT. Temporary status allows students to take up to 12 hours prior to full admission to a graduate program.

In addition to the temporary graduate admission for the first 12 hours, some students may qualify for a
GMAT waiver, which allows students with undergraduate GPAs of 3.0 or higher and at least two years of professional work experience to apply to waive the GMAT. IF you meet these two criteria your waiver is granted on the condition that you earn grades of B or better in selected graduate courses in your program.

Your GPA can be calculated either as your overall or over the last 60 hours, whichever is higher. If necessary, we can include up to 12 hours of MBA hours earned as a temporary graduate student.

What is the major difference between the MBA and the Global MBA, and how do I know which one is a better fit for me?
Our
comparison table should help you choose between the Global and the Strategic MBA programs. The Global program is focused on International Business (cross-cultural), while our Strategic program is focused on strategy and leadership (cross-disciplinary). If you have completed a BBA degree in the last 5 years, the Global program may be a shorter route to an MBA for you. If your undergraduate degree was not in business or was completed more than 5 years ago, then the Strategic MBA may be the shorter route.

How do I know that my online application has been received?
You can log onto our
Enrollment Services Online using your social security number and birthdate. The system will provide information on your application status.

What do I need to do to apply for and enroll in a School of Business Administration program?
We've prepared an
application checklist and a new student checklist for you to follow to make sure you're ready to start classes.

How much is the application fee?
None of our programs require an application fee.

I have a professional degree in law (or medicine). Do I need to take the GMAT?
If you hold a professional degree (such as in law or medicine), you are exempt from completing the GMAT requirement.

Is the GMAT required?
