Our Faculty and Staff

Dr. Uche Nwabueze received his PhD from Sheffield Hallam University in the United Kingdom in 1994. For the past 18 years, Dr. Nwabueze has dedicated himself to the advancement of the theory and practice of management through research, consulting work, and teaching. His students describe their classroom experience as a scholarly adventure in critical thinking, problem-solving and analysis.

Dr. Nwabueze's research interest is focused on healthcare quality management and process redesign. He has over 50 academic publications, most notably in the Total Quality and Business Excellence Journal, Journal of Product and Brand Management, Journal of Public Sector Management, and the TQM Magazine.

Dr. Nwabueze served for several years as a consultant to numerous hospital systems in the United Kingdom in the implementation of Total Quality Management, Process Improvement and SixSigma. A master SixSigma blackbelt, Dr. Nwabueze loves helping organizations come to terms with process discipline focusing on the eradication of systemic waste.

From 2001 to 2007, he served as an associate professor of management in the College of Business at Houston Baptist University, and more recently as chair and associate professor of healthcare management at the University of East London. Dr. Nwabueze currently served on the editorial board of the African Business Journa, and the Journal of Applied Quality Management. He is also a member of the British Institute of Management, and American Society for Quality.

In 2004 Dr. Nwabueze won the Best Graduate Faculty Teaching Award at the University of Phoenix, Houston Campus, and in 2008 he won the Excellent Faculty Teaching Award at Ashford University.
