Rupak Rauniar

Dr. Rupak Rauniar is an assistant professor of strategic management and operations and supply chain management in the School of Business Administration at the University of Houston-Victoria. He received his PhD in manufacturing management and engineering, and an MBA in strategic management from the University of Toledo in Ohio. He also holds a bachelor's degree in computer science and engineering from Birla Institute of Technology in India.

Prior to joining the faculty in the School of Business at UHV in 2010, Dr. Rauniar taught various business courses in both undergraduate and graduate levels at Jackson State University in Mississippi, and the University of St. Thomas in Houston. His research interests are primarily in e-commerce and information systems, new product development and project management, and knowledge integration. His significant research publications have appeared in the Decision Sciences Journal,Journal of Business and Behavioral Science,Journal of e-commerce Research, International Journal of Electronic Business, International Journal of Operations and Production Management,International Journal of Production Economics, and Journal of Information and Knowledge Management.

Dr. Rauniar was the recipient of the highly regarded Saint Edith Stein Excellence in Research Award in 2010 from the University of St. Thomas and a Best Paper Award in e-commerce at Decision Sciences Annual Conference in 2009. He has also been a certified project management professional member (PMP) since 2002.
