Dr. Donna Stringer is an Assistant Professor of Management in the School of Business at the University of Houston-Victoria. She earned her PhD in Human Resource Management at the University of Texas at Arlington. She also earned her MA degree from the University of Alabama and her BBA from the University of Houston- Clear Lake. Dr. Stringer's primary work experience has been in small business.
Dr. Stringer has co-authored several research papers. Along with her colleagues, she received the 1995 Academy of Management Conference Sage Memorial Best Doctoral Student Paper Award in the Research Methods Division. Her research emphasis focuses on human resource management in small and entrepreneurial organizations, diversity in organizations, and the impact of personal values in organizations.
Dr. String has presented at a number of national conferences and has published works in several national and international peer-reviewed journals, most recently in the Academy of Entrepreneurship Journal,Journal of Management Research, and Group & Organization Management. She has also had extensive experience in working with and teaching diverse populations.
She is a member of the Phi Kappa Phi organization, which describes itself as the "oldest and largest collegiate honor society dedicated to the recognition and promotion of academic excellence in all disciplines." She is also a member of the Academy of Management. |
