Dr. Chun-Sheng Yu joined the business faculty at the University of Houston-Victoria in 2000. After earning his DBA from Mississippi State University in 1998, he taught fundamentals of management and international management at the University of Central Oklahoma. Dr. Yu also earned a master's degree from Fudan University in China in 1984. Currently, Dr. Yu teaches comparative management, management and organizational behavior, and international management.
Prior to coming the United States in 1988, Dr. Yu was an associate professor and vice chair of the Department of Economics at Hangzhou University. Dr. Yu taught principles of management and managerial psychology at Hangzhou University, which is currently a component of Zhejiang University in China. From 1988 to 1992, as a visiting scholar in the management department at the University of Georgia, Dr. Yu participated in a cross-cultural research project developing and validating a managerial strategy and outcome model.
Dr. Yu's primary research interests include cross-cultural management, quality management, work value, performance management, corporate social responsibility, and management issues in electronic and mobile commerce. Dr. Yu has published several articles in quality management journals including the International Journal of Organizational Analysis,Journal of Strategic Information Systems, Information & Management,Journal of Internet Research,Journal of Computer Information Systems, Quality Management Journal, Current Topics in Management,International Journal of Management and Enterprise Development, and others.
Dr. Yu is a founding member of the International Association for Chinese Management Research (IACMR). He has also served on several editorial review boards.
