Introduction to financial statements and their use in decision making. Topics include the accounting cycle; concepts and principles used in recording assets, liabilities, equity, revenues and expenses; internal controls; and basics of accrual basis accounting.
ACCT 2402 or ACCT 2302 Accounting Theory II

Accounting concepts and principles used in managerial planning, control and decision-making. Topics include budgetary planning, control and analysis, responsibility accounting, costing techniques, standard costs, cost-volume-profit relationships and capital budgeting.
Computer Literacy - Select from BCIS 1305 or COSC 1301
Cr. 3. (3-0) 
Typically satisfied by COSC 1301/1401 or higher, or BCIS 1305 or higher. COSC 1301: Provides an overview of computer information systems. Introduces computer hardware, software, procedures, systems, and human resources and explores their integration and application in business and other segments in society. BCIS 1305: Computer terminology, hardware, software, operating systems, and information systems relating to the business environment. The main focus of this course is on business applications of software, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation graphics, and business-oriented utilization of the Internet.
ECON 2301 Principles of Economics I
Cr. 3. (3-0) TSI complete in Mathematics, or grade of C or better in MATH 1300; and TSI complete in Reading, or grade of C or better in ENGL 1300
Topics in macroeconomics including aggregate economic performance, aggregate supply and aggregate demand, money and financial markets, monetary and fiscal policies, policy debates and applications, and international economics.
ECON 2302 Principles of Economics II

A study of market systems. Topics include supply and demand, the behavior of firms and households in different market structures, government intervention in markets, barriers to trade, and foreign exchange markets.

Course will provide essentials of business calculus, including study of functions and graphs from a calculus viewpoint as applied to problems in business.

Typically satisfied by SPCH 1321: Business and Professional Speech. Fundamentals of speech as they relate to business and professional settings. Includes interviews; informative, persuasive, and public speeches.
