What if I Don't Know/Can't Remember my UHV Student ID?
The good news is that you most likely already have your UHV Student ID. When first created, UHV Student IDs are sent to students' personal e-mail accounts (usually when a student completes the UHV application process). A letter containing UHV Student ID information is also mailed to each student.

Okay. I've Called UHV and have my UHV Student ID to log into Blackboard, but what Password do I Use?
All UHV Student ID accounts will be assigned an initial password. However, UHV students will need to change the initial password to something more secure before they log into any of the UHV systems, including the Blackboard system.
The initial password is in the mmddyyx! format, (see below), but this is not the password students use to log into Blackboard. You must change the mmddyyx! password to something more secure before you can log into Blackboard.
- mm is your two-digit birth month
- dd is your two-digit birth day
- yy is your two-digit birth year
- x is the first character of your last name in lowercase-letter format
- ! (exclamation point - Shift + 1 on your keyboard)
- For example, if your birthdate is January 15, 1980, and your name is Jane Smith, then your initial password for Blackboard is 011580s!
If you've never changed your mmddyyx! password and you want to log into Blackboard, you'll need to visit the UHV Password Self Service site, select the Change Existing Password option, create a new password, use the Setup Password Recovery Questions option, and log into Blackboard with your new password.
If you've already changed your mmddyyx! password, you'll log into Blackboard with your current password.
UHV system passwords (including Blackboard) expire every 90 calendar days. You can change your Blackboard password by visiting the UHV Password Self Service site and selecting the Change Existing Password option. If you've changed your password via the UHV Password Self Service site, you must wait 24 hours before attempting to change your password again using the site.
Faculty, Adjunct, and Staff Passwords for Blackboard:
The password information and instructions above apply to UHV faculty, adjuncts, and staff. However, UHV faculty, adjuncts, and staff log into Blackboard with their UHV domain information (the same username and password used to log into their work computers, for example, doej as the username for Jane Doe). UHV students use their unique 7-digit UHV Student ID to log into Blackboard (for example, 1234567).

If I Change my Password For Blackboard and I'm Signing in with my UHV Student ID, does this Change my Password in the Student Records System (also known as "MyUHV")?

- Blackboard system
- UHV domain accounts (lab/work computers)
