Undergraduate Programs: Applied Arts & Sciences
This degree program is offered in all three locations: Victoria, Sugar Land and Cinco Ranch.
If you have an associates degree in Applied Arts & Sciences or technical or vocational courses from an accredited community or technical college, then the Bachelor of Applied Arts & Sciences (BAAS) may be the degree for you.

Each concentration offers a variety of job opportunities. For example, a Communication concentration can prepare you for work in public relations or the media. A Computer Information Systems concentration can provide computer-related skills for employment in that field. A Legal Assistance and Administration concentration can give you the background needed to advance as a legal assistant. The Psychology concentration can offer you knowledge needed for a position in the human services field.
In addition, a BAAS degree can help you to qualify to teach in a vocational or technical area at a community or technical college. Finally it can provide you with a foundation for continuing on with graduate studies.
Eligibility
You are eligible for the degree if you've done one of the following:
You can use between 24 and 44 semester hours of vocational or technical credit toward a bachelor's degree. For example, if you have an associate degree in Office Systems Technology or Respiratory Theory or some other technical program, most of the hours in that program will transfer to the BAAS.
