1 Students may be admitted with a valid GRE score of 900 or higher. The entrance exam may be waived for admission if the applicant (i) has an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (3.75 on a 5.0 scale) or higher, AND (ii) has senior design project experience in IT industry, AND (iii) writes a letter of application outlining career goals and objectives, AND (iv) earns a B or better in all prerequisite courses.

2The English proficiency exam (TOEFL) may be waived for admission if the applicant (i) has completed at least three years full-time study at a recognized secondary school, college, or university whose primary language of instruction is English; OR (ii) has completed nine semester hours of lower division English coursework at UHV, three of which must be in composition and three in literature.
