  Documentation Style

Welcome to the Documentation Style Information Resource Center. Here you'll find information about various aspects of APA and MLA style. Please note that you should always check with your instructor about whether you should use APA, MLA, or some other kind of documentation style. You should always follow your instructor’s preferences concerning documentation style. The list below provides a short description of each handout; you can view a list without descriptions here.

Featured handouts . . .

APA Quick Reference Guide: This handout is divided into two sections: (1) discusses APA documentation in text and (2) discusses APA documentation on the reference page. It also contains tips for writing an APA title page, the abstract, and the reference page. This handout is not intended to be a complete reference, but it does provide guidelines for the most common elements used by students writing research papers. (An Interactive Presentation with Audio is available!)
