If you’re still not clear about how to avoid plagiarism, you can schedule an appointment with an Academic Center tutor who can discuss some techniques for avoiding plagiarism with you.

1. Define plagiarism in your own words.

2. Name at least four items that you will need to cite.

3. Describe common knowledge in your own words.

4. Describe the strategy you will adopt to avoid plagiarism.

Remember that it’s your responsibility to avoid plagiarism. If in doubt, cite it.
