Academic Center Exercises

Exercise 2: In exercise two, you'll be asked to write sentences. You can use the sentences in the Parallelism handout as models.

Exercise 3: Exercise three contains 10 sentences. You should underline the parallel structures and re-write the sentences correctly. An answer key is included at the end of the exercise

.

Exercise 4: Exercise four contains a paragraph where you must underline the parallel structures and re-write sentences that contain incorrect parallelism. An answer key is included at the end of the exercise.

Exercise 5: Exercise five contains several brief paragraphs. In this exercise, you'll underline the parallel structures and re-write those that have incorrect parallel structures. An answer key is included at the end of the exercise.

UHV students can schedule a face-to-face tutoring session with a writing tutor or contact an online tutor to discuss any of these exercises or for additional assistance.
