Exercise
1: Choosing the Correct Preposition: In this exercise, you
will identify and circle the correct preposition for each sentence.
An answer
key
is
included
at
the end
of the exercise.

2: Understanding Prepositions: This exercise
is composed of several passages. As you read through the passages,
circle all of the prepositions, and underline all of the prepositional
phrases.

3: Working with Problem Pairs: This exercise
is composed of two parts. In part A, you will need to circle
the correct preposition(s) for each sentence. In part B, you will
need to circle the prepositions that need to be eliminated to make
the sentence
correct.
If the wrong preposition is used, mark through the one used in the
sentence and replace with a correct preposition. An
answer key is included at the end of the exercise.
Exercise
4: Writing with Prepositions: In this exercise, you'll write
your own paragraphs. It will be up to you to
determine the proper use of prepositions. Once you have completed
this
exercise, be sure to bring it to the Academic
Center so that one of the
peer
writing tutors can look over the paragraphs or story.
