Employment
Peer Writing Tutors - Peer writing tutors gain excellent
experience and training, work flexible hours, and enhance their communication
skills. The center hires between six and ten peer writing tutors per
semester.
Peer writing tutors work
at least ten hours but no more than nineteen hours weekly. Scheduling
is flexible; tutors typically have a great deal of input into the
number of hours and when they want to work these hours, so arranging
work around their school schedule is possible. We accept applications
throughout the year, and we hire at the beginning of each
fall and spring semester.

Subject-Area Tutors - The Academic Center hires peer tutors
to work during the academic year. Subject-area tutors typically work
up to 10 hours weekly. Scheduling is flexible; tutors typically have
some input into when they want to work these hours, so arranging work
around school schedules is possible. We accept applications throughout
the year, and we usually hire at the beginning of each semester.
In the past, the Academic Center has provided subject-area
support in computer science, math, biology and psychology.
