Victim Intervention & Prevention Program

The Victim Intervention & Prevention (VIP) program works with students, faculty, and staff at UHV to prevent interpersonal violence, such as stalking, sexual assault / rape, dating violence, and domestic violence, from occurring. In addition, The VIP program is situated in UHV Counseling Center and is coordinated by the Victim Advocate and is additionally staffed with a counselor / psychologist.

The other part of the VIP program's work is to provide services to students, faculty, and staff when interpersonal violence occurs on campus. Services include victim advocacy (e.g., finding local resources, accompaniment to hospitals, assistance in navigating the legal process), consultation, and counseling.
