Students are signing up for the Freshman Seminar course as they register for other classes during Freshman Orientation, and while their students are signing up, parents are also learning about the course and its goals and objectives in parents-only sessions. Parents have expressed appreciation that the course is required for all students and that it is tuition free, though students will have to purchase a textbook. The course material will help students make a more successful transition to college life and enable them to better meet new expectations for academic performance and independent decision making.
