Academic Information
Are you TSI complete?
Texas Success Initiative (TSI) was implemented by the state to ensure that students enrolled in Texas public colleges and universities have the academic skills to succeed at the college level. Under TSI, any student who is not exempt is required to take the Texas Higher Education Assessment (THEA), Compass, Accuplacer, or Asset test to show his or her skill levels in the areas of reading, math, and writing.
You may be exempt from TSI if your scores on the ACT, SAT, or TAKS test were high enough and you have submitted those scores to UHV.
If you are not exempt, you must take one of the TSI tests and submit your score to UHV before you can register and enroll in college-level courses.
Contact Ashlee Wassick (wassicka@uhv.edu) if you aren't sure whether or not you need to take a TSI test.
Mail or fax your scores to UHV if you haven't already done so.
