Disability Services
Eligibility
Disability Services offers accommodations to students in compliance with Section 504 and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
In order to be eligible for services, a student should:
- Apply and be accepted to the University of Houston-Victoria through the regular admission process.
- Register with Disability Services prior to or within the first two weeks of each semester.
- Provide documentation that includes professional evaluations completed within 36 months prior to an initial academic adjustment/auxiliary aid request.
- Provide documentation for psychological disorders based on professional evaluations completed within six months of the initial academic adjustment/auxiliary aid request.
Note: Each student is responsible for assuming the cost of any medical/psychological test in order to provide documentation from a licensed health care provider. Without thorough and timely documentation, a student may not receive an academic adjustment or auxiliary aid.
