Jags For Life Program
Jags For Life is the newest program to be added to Counseling, Health and Wellness. Managed by our Health Educator, Jags for Life aims to reduce stigma around mental health, and creates an opportunity for students to utilize the Counseling Center’s resources to achieve optimal wellness.
Education for prevention and management is provided on various mental, physical, and sexual health topics, such as:
- Suicide Prevention
- Stress Relief/ Management
- Safe-Sex Practices
- Alcohol & Substance Use/ Abuse
- Mindfulness/ Meditation
Jags For Life also hosts a variety of events on campus. Through collaboration with campus departments and community partners, Jags For Life is able to provide a wide range of programs that can engage any type of student.

Starting Fall of 2015, Jags For Life will be launching UHV’s first suicide gatekeeper training for students, faculty, and staff.
